Crowdworks is a Japanese design platform similar to Upwork. The client requested a logo for their business/blog named Goshuin-Metal (named after the popular metal band Babymetal). The request was that the logo give an a dark impression as well as the inclusion of Japanese Hannya.
Pen & Ink
Design concept done in pen & ink, utilizing geometric circles for aesthetic.
Adobe Illustrator
The concept is then vectorized in Adobe Illustrator in black & white.
